Sonny is a freelance drummer from St.John's, Newfoundland. With more than 25 years to his credit, Sonny has performed.toured and recorded in all genres with various artists, including Terry Kelly, The Ennis Sisters , Denis Parker, Connemara, The Dogberries, Dutch Mason, The Tequila Rockingbirds, and Shanneygannock.

In addition to life as a gigging drummer, Sonny also teaches drumset privately from his home studio. Three-time Music NL-Educator Of The Year Award Winner, Sonny instills a working-drummer's perspective in all his students, many of whom have gone on to national and international careers as drummers.

Proudly endorsed by Sabian Cymbals and a member of the Vic Firth PDT program, Sonny has made a lifelong commitment to the art and craft of drumming.
