Jared Beaton is a 12-year old drummer from New Waterford, Nova Scotia. Jared is a Grade 6 student at St. Agnes Elementary school, where he plays in the school band. He has been playing the drums for four years and also plays with his brother, Tylor, and friend, Christian, in a band they call Deception.

Jared recently won an award for the top drummer in the Ultimate Band competition. Jared's favorite bands are Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne and Nickelback, just to name a few. Jared's favorite drummer is Tommy Lee and he has seen him live in concert.

Besides drumming, Jared enjoys playing basketball, hanging out with his friends, listening to music and spending time with his family. Jared is thrilled to be chosen to play at DrumFest and can't wait to show everyone his talent on the stage.
